Hedgerow Remedies aims to inspire people to make more use of herbs in their everyday lives for their health and well being.

As a qualified teacher, Kate runs workshops for children as well as adults. Activities for children include finding and identifying plants; drawing and pressing plants; basic botany; making simple creams, vinegars and oils; story telling. Previous talks aimed at adults have included:

Some Traditional Welsh Remedies
Historical recipes from the Physicians of Myddfai, a highly regarded lineage of herbalists whose services were sought after by royalty! To be used at the reader's own risk.
For the toothache:
Take distilled water of red Roses, a small quantity of bees wax and a little fresh butter; mix together over a gentle heat and apply with a linen cloth as hot as can be bourne.
Or:Pound up Shepherd's Purse and apply to the tooth.
To cure a fetid breath:
Take Rosemary leaves and flowers and boil in white wine with a little myrrh and Pellitory of the Wall and gargle with frequently.
